The TriMedia Film Festival's mission is to be an annual event of national stature that celebrates film, television, and theatre arts, and integrates emerging and established artists in all categories. The festival has an innovative "tri-media" focus featuring film, TV pilots, and live theatre, with a PG-13 or equivalent rating limit. We will screen and exhibit entries from all over the world. We will encourage local filmmakers and writers by showcasing their work, and exhibit the winning entries from area student film festivals. The festival will create a competitive cultural and educational festival for Fort Collins that unites filmmakers, writers, and actors with film, TV, and theatre enthusiasts, and while bringing this terrific location to the attention of national production industry representatives.

The Minor in Film Studies degreed program at the University of Northern Colorado is designed to provide students with an understanding of film as a distinct art form, with its own history, language, mechanics, and principles of production and of reception. Although many forms of film are considered in this program, narrative film receives the greatest emphasis. The program emphasizes the analysis and the interpretation of film rather than training in film production. Students learn to view andto study film in relation to cinematic and social-cultural history, film criticism, and film and cultural theory.

CAFÉ - CALL FOR ENTRIES

CAFÉ is a Web-based service that allows organizations and administrators to easily and cost-effectively manage artist-application and jury processes related to calls for entry. The service is especially designed for use with public art projects, artist fellowships, and juried visual-arts competitions.

Because slide projectors are being phased out, many organizations are choosing to jury artists' work via high-resolution digital images instead of slides. CAFÉ™ provides artists with an easy-to-use system to enter contact information, upload digital images of their artwork, and enter a number of open calls at one time, eliminating the cost of duplicating slides and mailing individual packets.

NATIONAL PARK SERVICE ARTIST IN RESIDENCE PROGRAMS

The National Park Services offers opportunities for two-dimensional visual artists, photographers, sculptors, performers, writers, composers, and craft artists to live and work in the parks. There are currently 29 parks participating in the Artist-In-Residence program.
